Taken on the same day as Victoria Clock Tower, this day was both wet and Sunny (with a surprising lack of rainbows however!!!) which to me presented a few photography issues.
One of the things I tried to do to counteract these issues were to get some interesting shots by shooting directly towards then sun and therefore get some nice silhouettes. The photo above is the best I could get of these, even though sadly there is some lens flare on the gentlemens leg.
I was quite lucky when snapping this photo as the lad positioned himself perfectly in the pillar of sun as he was walking in front of me giving him a nice silhouette as well as allowing some “in shot framing” via the two diagonal lines of shadows.
I’ll admit there wasn’t a lot of messing about with settings for this candid shot of an unnamed man – but here they are anyway:
Focal Length: 55mm
Shutter Speed: 1/250
